Coming soon to Denver, Colorado

Everyone deserves a weekend off from carrying it all.

Preparation and integration support for people exploring ketamine-assisted therapy for depression and anxiety.

When depression or anxiety has been riding along for a long time, and the usual options haven't been enough, ketamine is one treatment option some people explore with a licensed medical provider. Off Weekend will be the careful, human part around it: I'll help you prepare, offer steady support on session day, and help you make sense of it afterward. Licensed medical partners handle all medical screening, prescribing, dosing, and monitoring.

Ketamine for depression and anxiety

A treatment option worth understanding, with the medical decisions in licensed hands.

01

What research suggests

Research suggests ketamine may help some people with depression and anxiety, especially when other treatments haven't worked. Results vary from person to person, and researchers are still studying its long-term safety.

02

Where it stands with the FDA

Ketamine is used off-label for depression and anxiety. Esketamine (Spravato), a nasal spray made from ketamine, is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression in adults. Ketamine itself isn't FDA-approved for any psychiatric condition.

03

Who decides

Whether ketamine is right for you is decided by a licensed medical provider after screening. It isn't safe or recommended for everyone, and it doesn't replace your ongoing mental health or medical care.

General education, not medical advice. Sources: Cleveland Clinic, “Ketamine Therapy” (medically reviewed January 16, 2026); U.S. Food and Drug Administration, compounded ketamine risk alert (October 10, 2023), listed under FDA Compounding Risk Alerts.

What it will be

02

Built around your off time

A protected window, planned around your work, your kids, and your calendar, so the time is actually yours to step away and look at what you're carrying.

03

Integration

Afterward, time to make sense of it in your real life: the job, the kids, the bills, the art. No pressure to have it all figured out.

Why I'm doing this

Built by a dad who knows what carrying it all feels like.

Jeremy Lomax
Founder, Off Weekend · Denver, CO

I'm Jeremy. I'm a divorced dad in Denver, and during the school year I have full-time custody of my 5-year-old son. For a single parent, a kid-free weekend is rare. When one comes, it usually disappears into laundry, errands, and catching up on everything else I'm carrying.

I know I'm not the only one carrying too much. For a lot of people, that weight shows up as depression or anxiety that hangs on, even after trying the usual options. Research suggests ketamine may help some people in that spot, and when it's part of someone's care, the human side deserves real attention too: walking in prepared, having someone steady with you, and taking time afterward to make sense of it.

That's the part I want to help with. I'm certified in low-dose and high-dose ketamine-assisted therapy through Ballen Medical's practitioner training, and I work alongside licensed medical partners who handle everything medical. By day I'm a data scientist with an MBA, so I care about what the evidence does and doesn't say.

I've spent a lot of my life helping people through change. In college I was an orientation advisor, walking people through one of the biggest transitions of their lives. I performed with Voices Against Violence, saying hard things out loud so other people felt less alone. Now I tell stories on comedy stages around Colorado, and the best ones are always the ones people were afraid to say.

Off Weekend is for single parents like me, and for anyone else who's been carrying too much for too long: professionals, artists, comics, whoever you are.

Everyone deserves a weekend off from carrying it all. Soon, here's yours.

Straight answers

A few questions, answered plainly.

Are you a therapist?

No. I'm not a therapist, counselor, clinician, or physician, and I'm not licensed as any of those. I'm a trained facilitator. My part is the human part: helping you prepare, offering support on session day within what the medical partnership allows, and helping you make sense of it afterward.

Do you prescribe or give ketamine?

No. I don't prescribe, dispense, or administer any medication. Licensed medical partners handle all medical screening, prescribing, dosing, and monitoring, and they decide whether ketamine is appropriate for you.

Can ketamine help with depression or anxiety?

Research suggests ketamine may help some people with depression and anxiety, especially when other treatments haven't worked. Ketamine is used off-label for depression and anxiety; esketamine (Spravato) is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression. Whether ketamine is right for you is decided by a licensed medical provider after screening.

When does Off Weekend open?

Who is it for?

Adults in Denver or elsewhere in Colorado who've been carrying too much for too long, including people exploring ketamine as an option for depression or anxiety: single parents, burned-out professionals, creatives, performers, comics. Whether it's a fit is something we'd figure out together, and the medical side is up to the licensed medical team.

Will it work for me?

I can't promise that, and nobody honest can. Experiences vary, and there are no guaranteed outcomes. Whether ketamine is right for you is decided by a licensed medical provider after screening. What I can offer is a careful process: real preparation beforehand and real time to make sense of it afterward.
